NGSA Testimonials

Nick was a hugely inspirational visitor to Herne Bay SC, presenting awards at our presentation evening and running a special masterclass for our swimmers . This was something that we have never done before as a club and our swimmers loved it. They really appreciated Nick's easy to understand coaching style and his demo's. Nick was extremely approachable and friendly and our swimmers really warmed to him. The proof was in the pudding at our next club session when the swimmers were all using the tips that he had given them.Thank you.

" We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Nick for his time this week on camp. Beth thoroughly enjoyed it, which is testiment to the content and delivery of the sessions..... Prior to the camp she was somewhat lke warm about the prospect but the effect on her has been so positive she is asking about next year!! She has met some similar age girls on camp which helped but the facilities and approach from Nick was absolutely excellent.  Swimmers of her age need so much technical input before they start putting in the miles which can sometimes lead to them reinforcing poor technique and letting it become habitual. The camp was a Breath of fresh air so well done to you both."

The Workshop was great - the kids and coaches thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very beneficial.  After the event I did a short evaluation with the kids and coaches and 100% said the workshop was enjoyable and of benefit.  I asked them to say one word to describe the event, the answers included "Amazing, Great, Motivating & Inspiring". 100% said they would like to attend another Nick Gillingham workshop.  The kids are continuing to practice what they learnt at the Workshop during our training sessions. We have a couple of galas coming up in the next couple of months , the kids are confident that the workshop will have a positive effect.

" Nick's coaching offers 3 key elements that helped our 10 year old greatly.  Firstly, he is very clear with his technical guidance, which translated into quick adoption and improvement. Secondly, the programme offered a wide and interesting range of sessions which kept the swimmers motivated and engaged. Finally, Nick is a really good man, who cares about each individual and connects 1-1.  To be frank, to have the focused attention of a 2 time Olympic medallist is a privilege for any aspiring swimmer.  That he is such an excellent technical coach puts the cherry on top.  Of course T3 adds a special extra dynamic, with spectacular facilities and an elite environment.  Demand for these courses will grow and grow."

"After attending Nick's excellent Art of Breaststroke course at Woodhouse Grove School near Leeds, we decided to book the Summer training camp in Tenerife. The T3 training facility in Tenerife is world class and the quality coaching and feedback made the camp inspiring and enjoyable for our son. We've booked again this year!"

"A well rewarding swim week in the sunshine. Fab coaching off Nick and the Gillingham’s were a very welcoming family. My daughter gained confidence in her own ability, lots of new friends and big improvements to her strokes. Achieving two NW Regional times on her return to the UK. Going back this Easter!"

“My daughter attended a swim camp at T3 with Nick in Tenerife and she came away completely motivated and rejuvenated regarding her racing. After coaching for a few days, Nick did a session with her in the flume tank and told me without letting her know beforehand he had decided to take the speed to 50m free at a 26 second rate and to hold this pace for as long as possible (a time that had seemed impossible to her!). When she got out and Nick told her what she had achieved (we have the video footage!) she was as excited as if she'd broken the world record! Nick knew she had the ability and she achieved success. He gave her the belief she could do it. She has just posted a 26 second L/C freestyle sprint and qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials! We are returning again this Summer in the hope of achieving possibly a 25 for the next season! He is truly an amazing coach and an incredible motivator... awesome guy!”

“Josh and Paul would like to say a huge 'thank you' to Nick for such an inspirational afternoon last Saturday in Sevenoaks. They both haven't stopped talking about it since they arrived home! Josh said his breaststroke has been transformed and it was the best course he has ever been on.”

" Nick Gillingham's swim camp is the best technical camp I have ever been to.  He pushes you enough so you build endurance and works enough on technique so your stroke improves."
Jordan Osborne, Tenerife, August 2015

"Our son learnt a great deal from Nick's swim camp.  The swim tank was extremely interesting.  His times have continued to drop, and I am sure this camp played a large part in this.  I cannot recommend it enough."
